Reflection on 2008

i jus realised todays my 1st year anniversary for blogging.!
yay.! hahaha
my first post was on 31st Dec 2007.
and phew. its been 1 year alr. 365 days gone jus like that.

Year 2008 had been a pretty eventful one for me.
in fact its a bit of a turbo ride for me. lol
had much of my ‘First-time’s gg on this year.
and tho there were really down times,
but i will still say 2008s the best year i had so far. honest.

tho i kinda ‘wasted’ the year by not getting in e july intake,
i feel i din lose out on anything.
cos in exchange, i learnt and experienced much more .

Also, after working for so long,
it really made me appreciate student life even more.
so i will not take it for granted anymoreee! haha

and whatever that happened this year,
be it good/bad/happy/sad,
i believe it happened for a reason.
maybe for me to learn something from it?
or for me to experience/feel something that i’ve never experienced/felt before?
so with this in mind,
im gna treat them as part and parcel of my growing up journey
and keep everything in my memory bank. (:

the day when im old and wrinkly,
 i’ll love to look back at them again,
and laugh at how silly i was when i was a 20 year-old teenager. (:

somehow i feel life jus really started only this year.
there are still so much more for me to explore.
so im pretty much looking forward to 2009

RMIT Orientation.

darn tired from ytd’s orientation.
woke up at 5.30am ?!?!?
and only reached home at 10.30pm.
friggin tired mannz.

it was suppose to start at 8.30am?
but by e time we settled down and stuff it was alr one hr gone.
first up was some motivational talk,
and follow by this school library ‘talk’.
after e talk, it jus made me think of how wonderful TP was
and i din appreciate it back then.
tsk tsk. haha
i mean like, they can acty fine you by minutes
for some of the books that are overdued?
damn kuazhang.

Okay, after that was the usual orientation games and stuff.
Im in Group D – De javu. haha
honestly, till now i cant really rmb our grp’s cheer fully.
its damn funny whenever our OGL hav to remind us of our own cheer
or worse still, they forget it themselves. tsk tsk. haha

Overall e games were fun luh. not bad.
but im reallyy NOT a fan of blindfolding games.
feels damn insecure man. haha
step up the bench, crawl under e table..you name it.
and it doesnt help that my OGL likes leading me to somewhere random and jus leave me there aloneee.
like hellooo?? hahah

and later at night was talent time.
each group had to come up w a dance or performance
for e song they were allocated.
and our group gotten Rihanna’s ‘Shut up and drive’.
and guess what.
i played a happy tree! (:
HAHAH
im suppose to be this tree by the roadside or something lol
was jus standing there.
both hands holding real stalks of leaves.
and jus swaying happily to e song w my fellow tree members.
yeaa… can picture it?? hahah
damn dumb luh. but fun.

its like back to kindergarden time..
where little kids play the role of  a ‘tree’ kind?
and they will happily tell their parents abt it.
and yea. i happily told my family abt it.
and they kinda laughed their ass off. -.- hahaha

oh wells. anw after that was home sweet home.
tho our group mm.. can be considered e worse few?? lol
but i quite enjoyed myself  haha
so i guess e ranking doesnt really matter.
and as for our group, i think if given moree time we cld be closerr. (:
but it wasnt too bad.
glad i went. (:

anw, i had to leave halfway,

intended to join them again after e service,
but it was a bit late alr? so din had e chance to meet up w kes.

back to the serivce.
hmm. all i can say is.. its like a concert. seriously. LOl
totally not wad i expected. haha

Update: Christmas Eve.

had a v diff xmas eve this year.
decide to go to tong’s church performance.
and candle light service.
so i tot it will be appropriate of me to bring some small gifts?
in e end decided on baking cookies.
so yeps. end result…

personally, i feel quite a sense of achievement lol
in fact i enjoyed e whole process of making these cookies.
from buying e necessary ingredient and stuff…
to following cheryl’s verbal step-by-step instructions.
and kinda messing up debbo’s kitchen LOl
enjoyed myself. ((:
w/o debbo and cheryl’s help, its seriously NO COOKIES.
cos im totally clueless abt baking.
this was my virgin bake knoww. hahha
and well, tong’s church friends enjoyed e cookies too ((:

and also considering this as my first time into church?
so its yea.. interesting. hahaha

afterwhich e whole thing ended ardd 11 plus?
wanting to ‘countdown’..
tong and i joined her frens at bugis mac.

weiming, glenn, derrick (hiding behind), tong

gabriel, louisa, pascale, samuel, weiming (again)

and somehow gundu us were jus talking talking.
and we kinda missed e countdown by 5 mins. darn.
and pascale is super funny to suggest counting down to e 6th min of christmas. lol
like *knock knock? haha

anw with disappointment,
we walked from bugis to esplanade?
and jus stayed there till 3 am appx.
we played the murderer game till we are damn pro at it luh.
lost count of how many times we played,
but its jus A LOT of times! hahah
e fastest we end one game was like less den 2 mins? lol

had much fun.
v different from my usual xmas eves. ((:
..which is good i guess? hahah

 

i know im slow,
but Edward Cullen is blardly charming. ♥ lol

Bittersweet Christmas.

cos its the time where gatherings/ parties/ meetups
jus lined up  behind one another. ((:

met up w abu last night after like soo-o long.
intend to catch Twilight.
but sadded. =/ it sold so quickly.
only left first 2 rows of seats.
so we gave it a miss. 

and din know abu’s so into Twilight!
and so shes trying hard to summarise the book,
and its subsequent series over dinner at fish&co heeren for me. (:
like yea. i know whos bella now finally. =/ lol
 im jus plain lazy to read up e book luh pls. hahah

den i was thinking isnt it much easier if e whole book was narrated out in a cd form?
den i can jus listen to it as and when.
so much easier to listen to stories den reading it up?

abu’s fav jam. lol

after dinner was jus random walking ard the streets to
immerse ourselves in this festive season. (:

there were lots of such erm performance?
haha ppl singing here and there, dressed up in santarinas etc etc.
its nice luh.
but this is it. e last time i’ll be gg town till after xmas. (:
its so packed luh. but still, its not e worse i’ve experienced k.
